Short Presentation of the Rencontres Raymond Abellio

The Rencontres Raymond Abellio bring together, in a spirit of research, people concerned or inspired by the thought and work of Raymond Abellio, a French philosopher and novelist (1907-1986).

Among the subjects dealt with:

  • Philosophy
  • The applications of Abellio's "structure absolue"
  • Spiritual and esoteric traditions
  • Epistemology and the process of creation
  • Innovations in sciences and technologies
  • ...

The Rencontres Raymond Abellio began in 2004 as "Rencontres de Seix", from the name of the pyrenean village where Abellio's mother family had its roots. The meetings have most often taken place in that environment, but also in various other places: Porto, Portugal (2010, 2015), Montréal, Québec, Canada (2012), Toulouse, France (2018, 2019, 2020).

The sessions usually run for 2 days, offering communications on scientific, literary, philosophical and artistic themes, and active discussions as well.

The "Rencontres" are organized by Association Raymond Abellio de Recherches et Études (ARARE), a non-profit association based in the Paris region.
